China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment on June 2 released draft standards called the Guidance for Establishing Soil Clean-up Level on Construction Land (trial implementation) to solicit public comments, which will be accepted through June 30. The standards provide guidelines on setting targets for soil remediation of contaminated land for development, that is, setting maximum allowable levels of contaminants on the land.
