China Promulgates Mandatory National Standard on Safety Requirements for Lithium-Ion Batteries Used in Toys

On March 31, 2026, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) promulgated the mandatory national standard Lithium-Ion Cells and Batteries Used in Electrical and Electronic Equipment—Safety Part 4: Toys (GB 31241.4-2026). This standard will officially come into effect on April 1, 2027.
