China Electronics Standardization Institute Releases FAQ on Implementation of China RoHS-Related GB Standard

On November 21, 2025, the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) published a set of frequently asked questions (FAQ) and answers regarding the implementation of the mandatory national standard GB 26572-2025, Requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products. The FAQ addresses 40 questions across four areas: product scope, implementation date and transition period, hazardous substance restriction requirements, and labeling requirements. Q1. Does the scope of this standard align with that of the “Administrative Measures”?
A1. Yes. The standard applies to electrical and electronic products manufactured or sold within the People’s Republic of China, as well as imported products. Therefore, its scope is consistent with the “Administrative Measures.”
