China issues experimental regulations on safety measures against abnormalities in chemical production operations 
On April 25, 2024, China’s Ministry of Emergency Management published an "Experimental Regulations on Safety Measures against Abnormalities in Chemical Production Operations" on its website. The regulations came into effect immediately.
Scope of the regulations
With the aim of enhancing safety risk management, the experimental regulations set safety risk management rules for the starting and stopping of equipment, unplanned maintenance operations, abnormal operation metrics, malfunction or failure of equipment or facilities, and accidental energy emission in production operations by chemical companies.
