Singapore releases new national standards for water-based enamel paints and water-based primers

In September 2022, two national standards on the specification for water-based primers and water-based enamel paints were published in Singapore. These standards define specific requirements for each product type, such as the component requirements, test methods, and required information displayed on containers. Both standards are in line with the global trend toward the widespread use of environmentally friendly paints by reducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs), heavy metals, and hazardous substances.
