Singapore Releases Guidelines for Sustainable Packaging in E-Commerce

On March 4, 2025, Singapore launched the Sustainable E-Commerce Packaging Guidelines as part of the Alliance for Action (AfA) on Packaging Waste Reduction for the E-commerce Sector, an industry-led initiative to reduce packaging waste in the e-commerce industry. These guidelines were developed with support from the National Environment Agency (NEA), led by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) and Singapore Post (SingPost), in collaboration with 14 companies across the e-commerce supply chain—including online marketplaces, retailers, and packaging manufacturers—as well as industry experts and associations.
