Indonesia updates dangerous goods air transport regulations

On October 12, 2022, the "Regulation of the Minister of Transportation No.32/2022 on Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Part 92 Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air" was promulgated in Indonesia and came into effect on the same day (hereinafter “the Regulation”). With the enactment of the Regulation, former regulations, i.e., the Regulations of the Minister of Transportation No.90/2013 and No.58/2016 were revoked. The Regulation regulates aircraft operators involved in air transportation of dangerous goods and shippers of dangerous goods. It requires shippers, for example, to comply with the requirements for packaging, labeling, and marking of dangerous goods, and to prepare dangerous goods transport document.
