India makes energy-saving labeling mandatory for commercial lightweight air conditioners

On February 28, 2023, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of India promulgated the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Light Commercial Air Conditioners) Regulations, 2023, to make labeling mandatory for light commercial air conditioners, which had previously been optional under the energy efficiency labeling system “Standards & Labeling Programme.”
