India postpones effective date of Quality Control Orders on Methylene Chloride, Ortho Phosphoric Acid and Polyphosphoric Acid

On May 13, 2022, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers published Orders postponing the effective date of the Quality Control Orders on methylene chloride, ortho phosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acid. With these amendments, the implementation of the Quality Control Orders in respect of methylene chloride was deferred to November 20, Orthophosphoric Acid to December 10 and Polyphosphoric Acid to December 22.

Regarding methylene chloride, the "Standard Mark" shall be affixed in accordance with the license granted by the Bureau of Indian Standards in Scheme II of Schedule prescribed in the "Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018" and in Scheme I of Schedule II in respect of ortho phosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acid.
