India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers publishes Quality Control Order on 14 chemicals 
On June 16, 2020, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers published Quality Control Order (S.O. 1890(E). ~ S.O. 1903(E).) on 14 chemicals, including pyridine and gamma-picoline. These Orders will be taken effect on the 181st day after the promulgation of the Official Gazette. Covered goods or articles shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard specified in the Table below and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of “Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018”. These Orders does not apply to chemicals for export. Violation of these provisions of the Orders will be punished under the “Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
