India notifies draft QCOs for Polycarbonate, Polyurethanes, etc. to WTO-TBT 
On April 22, 2021, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and the Bureau of Indian Standards notified the draft quality control orders for Polycarbonate, Polyurethanes, etc. to WTO-TBT for comments. In accordance with these Quality Control Orders, no product will be placed on the market unless it complies with the requirements of the applicable Indian Standards (see table below) and bears the “Standard Mark” as proof thereof. Any violation of the provisions of the orders will be punishable under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
