India publishes QCOs for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymers and Linear Alkyl Benzene

In the middle of April 2021, India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers published the quality control orders for ‘ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers’ and ‘linear alkyl benzene’. These orders will come into force on the expiry of 180 days from the date of its publication in the Official gazette and will not apply to products intended for export.

 

Also, goods or articles specified in the table below shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard as specified in the said table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per the Scheme I of Schedule II of the “Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018”. Any violation of the provisions of these orders shall be punishable under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
