India Launches Online Portal for Used Oil EPR, Publishes FAQs and Registration SOP

As confirmed by EnviX on June 25, 2024, the online portal for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for used oil under the Hazardous Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023 has been officially launched. The standard operating procedures (SOP) explaining the registration steps and FAQs on the Rules were also published on the said portal. As the EPR system came into effect on April 1, 2024, entities are legally required to register on the portal.
