South Korea mandates labelling to every EV upon full implementation of energy efficiency grading scheme

Upon the start of full implementation of the Energy Efficiency Grading Scheme for electric vehicles (EVs) on April 1, 2024, it becomes mandatory to attach energy grading labels to every EV, displaying each vehicle’s energy efficiency out of 5 different grades. Previously, i.e., from September 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024, such a labelling requirement was only applied to new EV models. However, from April 1, 2024, the labeling requirement starts applying to all EV models, including existing ones (total of 278 models).
