South Korea discusses global trends in automotive LCA and support for SME parts suppliers

On May 30, 2025, the Ministry of Environment (MOE) and the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) of South Korea jointly hosted the “Forum on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Automotive Greenhouse Gas Emissions” at the Automobile Manufacturers Association Hall located in Seoul. At the forum, participants shared global policy trends related to automotive LCA, automakers’ future strategies for achieving carbon neutrality, the current state of LCA readiness among parts suppliers, and the direction of support programs for parts manufacturers related to LCA.
