Vietnam Promulgates Decree to Promote Rooftop Solar Power

On October 22, 2024, in Vietnam, a Decree 135/2024/ND-CP on Policies and Mechanisms for Promoting the Development of Rooftop Solar Power System for Self-Consumption (hereinafter referred to as the Decree) was promulgated and came into effect in Vietnam. The Decree aims to promote the development of solar power systems for on-site generation and self-consumption to be installed on roofs of buildings (including houses, government institutions, and legally invested and constructed industrial parks, industrial clusters, export processing zones, high-tech zones, economic zones, factories, and business facilities).
