Singapore Manufacturing Federation Launches Expert Dispatch Program to Support Decarbonization of SME

On February 9, 2024, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) announced on its website that it had launched a Chief Sustainability Officer-as-a-Service (CSOaaS) program that allows small and medium-sized enterprises to request the dispatch of experts as needed without hiring dedicated staff for sustainability reporting practices. At the same time, SMF has also started a corporate certification system of sustainability attainment for companies adopting CSOaaS. Manufacturers will receive a Green Excellence for Manufacturing (GEM) Mark, and non-manufacturing companies will receive a Green Excellence for Business (GEB) Mark, which can be bronze, silver, or gold, depending on their sustainability attainment.
