On December 10, 2020, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry published the “Refrigerating Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2020”. The draft of the order was notified to WTO-TBT on November 4, and a 30-day comment period was held. The order will enter into force on January 1, 2021
- Goods or articles specified in the table shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard as specified in the said table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per the Scheme I of Schedule II of the “Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018”. Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles meant for export.
