India Withdraws Quality Control Orders of 6 Chemicals including Acid Oil, Lauric Acid

India’s Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers has withdrawn a total of 6 quality control orders (QCO) on October 22, 2025, namely Lauric Acid, Acid Oil, Palm Fatty Acids, Rice Bran Fatty Acids, Coconut Fatty Acids and Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acids. These QCOs were published in 2022 and were scheduled to take effect in the same October, but were delayed multiple times where it was last scheduled to take effect on October 24, 2025. All 6 QCOs now render null and void upon withdrawal.
