India Further Delays QCOs of Ethylene Dichloride, Vinyl Chloride Monomer & Polycarbonate

On September 16, 2025, India's Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals issued a notification postponing the Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, and polycarbonate. While all these QCOs were originally published in 2021, their effective dates have been postponed multiple times. This latest notification revises the enforcement date to September 12, 2026, a one-year extension. The most recent postponement was announced in March 2025, which extended the effective date to September 12, 2025.
