On July 7, 2023, India’s Chandigarh Administration Department of Science &Technology & Renewable Energy has published Amendments to its Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy of 2022. A downward revision was made for EV target shares based on the policy in 2022. Besides, there will be an increase of subsidies for four-wheelers and e-bicycles, and registrations of EV purchased from outside Chandigarh is now possible in the union territory.
