Japan Seeks Public Comments on the Draft Guidelines for Nature‑Positive to Promote Nature Conservation Through Procurement

On June 15, 2026, Japan’s Ministry of the Environment (MOE) launched a public consultation on the Draft Guidelines for NaturePositive—a document intended to guide businesses in conducting procurement that takes natural environments into account across their entire supply chain. In recent years, “biodiversity loss”, “climate change”, and “pollution” have become interconnected global challenges, and the importance of integrated policy responses to these issues has grown internationally.
