Japan Approves Cabinet Orders on the Enforcement Date and Implementation Provisions of the Amended Building Energy Efficiency Act

On September 11, 2026, the Government of Japan approved two Cabinet orders related to the Act Partially Amending the Act on the Improvement of Energy Consumption Performance of Buildings (Act No. 75 of 2026): one establishing the enforcement date and another setting out the regulatory provisions required for implementation.
