Japan Announces Draft Ministerial Ordinance to Change the Rules for Public Disclosure of Names of New Chemical Substances under CSCL

On March 11, 2026, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) jointly released a draft amendment to the ministerial ordinance concerning the public disclosure of the names of new chemical substances, and opened the draft for public comment.
