Japan Partially Revises Precautions for Labelling on Containers under the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act in Line with the Revision of “JIS Z 7253”

On December 25, 2025, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare issued a partial revision to the notification titled “Precautions Concerning Labelling, etc., on Containers and Packaging of Poisonous or Deleterious Substances under the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act.” This revision was made in conjunction with the promulgation, on the same date, of the Japanese Industrial Standard “JIS Z 7253: Methods of Conveying Information on Chemical Hazards and Toxicity Based on the GHS—Labels, Workplace Signs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).”
