Japan Publishes Draft List of PFHxS‑Related Substances to Be Designated as Class I Chemicals under CSCL

On January 21, 2026, Japan released a draft ministerial ordinance specifying the individual “perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS)related substances” that will be designated as Class I Specified Chemical Substances under the Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL). Public comments were accepted until February 19, 2026.
