Participation Report: Seminar on “Efforts Toward Establishing a Growth-Oriented Resource-Autonomous Economy”

An EnviX researcher attended the environmental seminar titled “Efforts Toward Establishing a Growth-Oriented Resource-Autonomous Economy,” held on August 28, 2025. The seminar was presented by Tokifusa Okada, Assistant Director of the Resource Circulation Economy Division, GX Group, Innovation and Environment Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The session began with an overview of the evolution of resource circulation policy and initiatives to promote the circular economy, followed by a detailed explanation of efforts to establish a growth-oriented resource circulation economy. This report covers three key areas: public–private–academic collaboration (Circular Partners), investment support, and legal revisions under the Act on the Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources.
