China’s Zhuhai city announces plastic pollution control program for 2023–2025

On Feb. 27, 2023, the Development and Reform Bureau of Zhuhai city, Guangdong province, China, announced the Plastic Pollution Control Program for 2023–2025. Although this program is similar to the National Program for Plastic Pollution Control for the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the plastic pollution control program of Guangdong province, it includes unique measures based on Zhuhai’s local needs, such as promoting the green product certification of plastic products, supporting the development of biodegradable agricultural films, and enhancing the recyclability of delivery packaging.
