Shanghai introduces new regulations on road transportation of dangerous goods

On Aug. 3, 2022, the Municipal Transportation Commission and other two departments of Shanghai, China announced new rules for the road transportation and storage of dangerous goods/hazardous chemicals. The rules came into effect on Aug. 15, 2022.

Under the latest rules, for more effective regulation, companies use a system called the Dangerous Goods Transportation Management System to communicate with other companies and see information for the road transportation of dangerous goods/hazardous chemicals. Some requirements have been introduced for companies that ship, produce or handle dangerous goods/hazardous chemicals as follows.
