China’s MEE Releases the “List of Priority Controlled Chemicals (Third Edition)”

On December 29, 2025, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) released the List of Priority Controlled Chemicals (Third Edition). The list contains 23 chemicals, including carcinogenic substances such as 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane and tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) phosphate; endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as bisphenol A (BPA) and di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP); and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) categorized as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS),
