China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Released the List of Fifth Batch of Green Manufacturing 
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released the List of Fifth Batch of Green Manufacturing on October 16, 2020. The list includes 719 green factories, 1,073 eco-design products, 53 green industrial parks and 99 green supply chain management enterprises. In addition, the following regulations are imposed on the listed companies.
- Companies listed on the List of Green Manufacturing should publish advanced green manufacturing technologies and representative examples by the end of April every year. In addition, the companies are also encouraged to publish annual green low carbon development reports.
- Companies listed on the List of Green Manufacturing shall make self-declaration of green manufacturing level indicators on the “Green Manufacturing Public Service Platform” before January 15, 2021. And shall make self-declaration (update) of green manufacturing level indicators for the previous year before January 15 and semi-annual before July 15 of each year, to show their advanced experience and typical practices of green manufacturing.
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will further strengthen the supervision and management of the list of green manufacturing, and review the green manufacturing list in due course, improving the dynamic management mechanism of the list, and delist the companies that no longer meet the green manufacturing evaluation requirements. The Ministry will also conduct spot checks on the evaluation work of third-party organizations, and will no longer accept the evaluation reports issued by those organizations that have been verified to have serious malpractices within a certain period of time.
The List of Green Factories includes information such as factory location, factory name and the name of third-party evaluation organization. The list also includes Japanese companies such as Hitachi Elevator (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.
The List of Eco-Design Products contains information such as the company name, product name, product model number, nominating organization, applicable evaluation standards and the interesting points of eco-design for each product. It covers a wide range of products, including household detergent, biodegradable plastics, room air conditioners, electric washing machines, and household refrigerators, etc,.. The list also includes room air conditioners from a Japanese company, Fujitsu General Central Air Conditioning (Wuxi) Co., Ltd.
