China releases draft 16th installment of list of products subject to energy efficiency label requirement

On Aug. 21, 2023, China’s National Development and Reform Commission and State Administration for Market Regulation published a draft 16th installment of the list of products subject to energy efficiency labelling requirement along with draft implementation regulations. The commission is seeking comments on the draft through Sept. 21, 2023. The new installment would add welding machines, general-purpose LED panel lights and industrial induction cooktops to the list as well as energy efficiency labelling implementation regulations for these products, which would come into effect March 1, 2024.
