Malaysia Announces Guide to Installing and Operating EV Charging Systems 
In July 2022, the Malaysian Energy Commission released its Guide on Electric Vehicle Charging Systems (EVCS). This Guide is designed to improve the safety of EVCSs, which will expand with the spread of EV in the future. It sets requirements based on laws and regulations and various standards, maintenance and inspection requirements, site requirements, operational requirements, and design of signs for charging stations. The Annex also lists the international standards to be complied with by EVCSs.
