China Mandates Video Surveillance Systems for Corporate Self-Monitoring

On July 22, 2026, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) published the national ecological environmental standard Technical requirements for construction and networking of video surveillance system for pollution source self-monitoring (HJ 1480-2026). The standard will officially take effect on October 1, 2026.
