Taiwan to amend the “Labelling standard for toy goods”

Taiwan amends the labelling standard for toys

 

On December 2, 2022, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan announced the draft amendment to “Labelling standard for toy goods”. The comment period is open until 60 days after the release date of the draft amendment. The amendment adds a provision that imported toys shall be labelled with the original name of foreign manufacture or foreign contract manufacture. According to the draft, the amended standard is scheduled to come into effect on May 18, 2023.
