Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment Releases Briefing Materials and FAQs on Existing Chemical Substance Registration

On August 17 and 18, 2026, the Chemicals Administration of Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment held a briefing titled Information Briefing for Registrants on Specified Deadlines (2027) for Hazard and Exposure Assessment Information of Existing Chemical Substances. The presentation materials were subsequently made available on the administration's dedicated website. The briefing outlined the registration procedures for existing chemical substances and explained how to utilize provided templates. Additionally, the briefing materials include answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding existing chemical substance registration. These FAQs address issues such as whether submitting "Hazard Assessment Information" and "Exposure Assessment Information" is mandatory for substances beyond the designated list.
