Taiwan’s MoENV Issues Revised HCFC Management Rules

On October,13, 2025, Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment announced the promulgation of the revised “Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) Management Rules.” The regulation sets out measures to achieve Taiwan’s goal of reducing annual HCFC consumption to zero by 2030. Under the amendment, the name of the regulation has been changed from “HCFC Consumption Management Rules” to “HCFC Management Rules.” The revision also explicitly includes products and equipment containing HCFCs as regulated items.
