Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Revises Precursor Chemical Regulation

On September 3, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs announced the promulgation of the revised regulation titled “Types of Precursor Chemical Industrial Materials and Declaration and Inspection Measures.” The term “precursor chemical industrial materials” refers to substances that can be used in the production of narcotics. The regulation, enacted under the “Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act,” requires designated precursor chemicals to be declared to the competent authority in accordance with the law.
