Taiwan publishes revised regulation on new chemical substance registration

On Aug. 8, 2025, Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor announced the promulgation of the revised “Regulation on the Registration and Management of New Chemical Substances.” Under Taiwan’s chemical substance registration system, applications are submitted through a centralized portal established by the Ministry of Environment. The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Labor jointly review the applications, and the portal consolidates the information and notifies applicants of the results. The Ministry of Environment then issues the registration code.
