China Revises Industrial Safety Standard in Production and Use of Chemicals

On Oct. 1, 2022, China’s Ministry of Emergency Management published a production safety industry standard called the Guidelines for Chemical Process Safety Management (AQ/T 3034-2022), which will come into effect April 1, 2023. This is a revised version of an industry standard issued in 2010. The revision introduces eight new safety management areas, including production safety responsibility, the safety management of serious dangers, and safety culture.
