China’s MIIT Jointly Releases the Second Batch of China RoHS Compliance Management Catalogue and Exemption List

On May 22, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China—in joint collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration—officially promulgated the Compliance Management Catalogue for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (2026 Edition) and the Exemption List for Restricted Substances in the Compliance Management Catalogue (2026 Edition). Concurrently, the initial batch of the Catalogue and Exemption List previously published by MIIT via Public Notice No. 15 of 2018 shall be repealed as of the date of this new announcement.
