General Administration of Customs of China Promulgates the “Measures for the Administration of Import and Export Cosmetics”

On May 6, 2026, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) promulgated the Measures for the Administration of Import and Export Cosmetics Inspection, Quarantine, Supervision, and Administration. These measures replace the previous version issued in 2011, reinforcing safety management for imported and exported cosmetics in China with a stronger emphasis on risk management, digital tracking, and traceability.
