China Submits WTO Notification for Revised GB on Testing the Hazardous Characteristics of Dangerous Goods

On March 16, 2026, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) of China submitted a WTO/TBT notification regarding the draft revision of the mandatory national standard, General Specifications for the Examination of Hazardous Characteristics of Dangerous Goods" (GB 19458). Public comments will be accepted for 60 days following the notification date. While the official publication date has not been set, the standard is expected to be implemented three months after its promulgation.
