China MEE Publishes the List of Hazardous Waste Management Exclusions (2026 Edition)

On January 7, 2026, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) of China published the List of Hazardous Waste Management Exclusions (2026 Edition) in order to fully implement the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, improve the hazardous waste identification system, and promote graded and categorized management in accordance with the requirements specified in the Implementation Plan for Strengthening the Reform of Supervision, Utilization, and Disposal Capacity of Hazardous Waste.
