Chinese Government Updates National Standard for Safety in Production Processes as Mandatory Regulations

On December 31, 2025, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation issued a national standard called General Requirements of Safety in Production Process (GB 12801-2025). It will come into effect October 1, 2026. This is an update to the previous version issued in 2008. While the previous version was a recommended national standard, the updated one is a mandatory standard.
