China Publishes 5 Draft Standards for Accident Prevention Services by Occupational Accident Insurance Providers

On Aug. 22, 2025, China’s Ministry of Emergency Management published on its website five draft industry standards for occupational accident prevention services by occupational accident insurance providers:

  • Specifications for Accidents Prevention Service on Work Safety Liability Insurance—Part 1: General Requirement
  • Specifications for Accidents Prevention Service on Work Safety Liability Insurance—Part 2: Metallurgy
  • Specifications for Accidents Prevention Service on Work Safety Liability Insurance—Part 3: Hazardous Chemicals
  • Specifications for Accidents Prevention Service on Work Safety Liability Insurance—Part 4: Mining
  • Specifications for Accidents Prevention Service on Work Safety Liability Insurance—Part 5: Fireworks and Firecrackers

 

The ministry is seeking comments on the drafts through Oct. 21, 2025. According to the explanatory documents attached to the drafts, the standards will be mandatory.
