Macau to Enforce Stricter Emission Limits for Motorcycle Pollutants Starting November 1, 2025

On September 16, 2025, the Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region issued Chief Executive Order No. 177/2025, announcing amendments to Annex 1 of Administrative Regulation No. 30/2016, titled “Emission Limits and Measurement Methods for Pollutants from In-Use Vehicles.” The amendment tightens the emission limits for pollutants from motorcycles. The revised limits will take effect on November 1, 2025, and from that date onward, motorcycles undergoing inspection must comply with the new standards.
