China Revises “Regulations on the Import and Export Management of Ozone-Depleting Substances”

On March 21, 2025, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the revised "Regulations on the Import and Export Management of Ozone-Depleting Substances" on its official website. The 2025 version of the regulations will come into effect on May 1, 2025. With the implementation of the revised regulations, the previous "Regulations on the Import and Export Management of Ozone-Depleting Substances" (Order No. 26 of the former Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Commerce, and General Administration of Customs) will be repealed.
