China launches pilot program for product carbon footprint labeling certification

On Sept. 9, 2024, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation announced a pilot program for product carbon footprint labeling certification. The published details of the program include eligible products, criteria for localities and companies eligible for the program, and how the program will be implemented.
