China issues guiding opinions on accelerating development of water conservation industry 
On June 25, 2024, China’s National Development and Reform Commission and several ministries issued Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Water Conservation Industry.
The guiding opinions aim to promote the water conservation industry and increase water use efficiency. These opinions include objectives such as expanding the water conservation industry to 1 trillion yuan ($140 billion) by 2027, as well as key plans such as advancing water conservation in key fields, promoting the upgrading of water-saving products, and enhancing the quality control of water-saving products.
